RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide guidance and daily supervision to staff in the department; support and administer operational goals and monitor achievements of performance and profit objectives.
• Adhere to scheduling and coordinate with the manager any scheduling concerns, with attention to guest satisfaction.
• Maintain the product menu and assist in recording product inventories.
• Maintain established quality assurance procedures to ensure acceptable health department and customer service standards.
• Support compliance with departmental budgets.
• Enthusiastically support, actively promote, and demonstrate superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs; ensure that customer service standards are followed by all team members and address issues as they arise.
• Assist the Manager with administrative duties as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements within the area of responsibility and report potential issues to management.
• Maintain strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required; one to two years beverage or equivalent experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior gaming experience preferred. Minimum of one year supervisory experience preferred.

• Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
• Manage work procedures and expedite workflow.
• Provide coaching and counseling to team members.
• Read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; communicate verbally in English; written communication skills in English may also be required.
• Apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Obtain and maintain a license from the WV Racing Commission and/or WV Lottery as may be required for this position.
• Successfully complete and maintain certification in the Beverage Service Programs (TIPS and TOPS) as may be required for this position.
• Obtain and maintain proper food handler certification.
• Be ServSafe certified in accordance with WV Health Code Regulations.
• Perform tasks that require standing, using hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; frequently reach with hands and arms, talk, or hear; mandatorily possess close vision, color vision, and peripheral vision.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance as needed in varied work areas such as confined spaces.
• Work in a usually loud environment.
• Employee may be exposed to an environment containing unrestricted second‑hand tobacco smoke.

WORK CONDITIONS
