Wind Creek Atmore is seeking a Beverage Server to deliver alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages to guests seated at Gaming Machines or bars throughout the gaming facility.

The role requires greeting guests, taking orders, coordinating with bartenders, and handling drink preparation and garnishes while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service. Training in alcohol service is required, and candidates must meet age and licensing prerequisites.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled in a GED program
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Six months related experience or training preferred
  • Willingness to lift and carry 20 lbs continuously
  • Must pass job interview with guest service audition
  • Must possess maturity, dependability and punctuality
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
  • Must complete Responsible Vendor Alcoholic Beverage Service and TIPS training
  • Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Willing to travel and participate in training if required
  • Must have Tribal Gaming License (or ability to obtain and maintain)
  • Must work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment

Responsibilities

  • Maintains knowledge of menu items, liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic options
  • Greets guests, takes beverage orders, relays to bartenders, uses POS and PLU systems
  • Garnishes drinks as needed
  • Prepares beer, wine, and frozen drinks as required
  • Ensure compliance with alcohol policies and procedures
  • Maintain sufficient beverage inventories
  • Prepare and submit required reports timely
  • Ensure clean and safe premises at all times
  • Handle guest needs promptly and professionally
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Overview:

The Beverage Server shall serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to customers seated at Gaming Machines or bar areas throughout the gaming facility.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintains complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers, non-alcoholic selections, daily special products and services available in the assigned venue
  • Greets guests, takes beverage orders and relays them to bartenders, effectively utilizing the POS system and PLU (Price Look Up) numbers, and utilizing the appropriate Order Call system
  • The ability to garnish drinks as needed
  • The ability to prepare beer, wine, and frozen drinks as needed
  • Must be able to pass Responsible Service of Alcohol Test
  • Complies with established policies on Reasonable Service of Alcohol
  • With assistance from the Beverage Manager, assures each individual site is in compliance with WCH’s Alcohol Policies & Procedures regarding the sale of alcohol on Tribal property
  • Ensures sufficient inventories are maintained to meet the needs of the beverage operation
  • Ensures that all applicable reports are completed in a timely manner
  • Ensures the physical condition of the premises are maintained in a safe, healthy manner
  • Ensures that all applicable operating policies and procedures are adhered to at all times without deviation and be extremely knowledgeable of the Minimum Internal Control Standards, Alcohol Policies & Procedures, and Fiscal Policies and Procedures
  • Anticipates guests’ needs, responding promptly and acknowledging guests even when busy
  • Other duties & responsibilities as assigned
Job Requirements: (please ensure you meet the listed requirements prior to applying)
  • High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within six (6) months from start date as a condition of continued employment
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older
  • Six (6) months related experience and/or training- preferred
  • Willingness and ability to lift and carry 20lbs continuously throughout the day
  • Must successfully pass job interview, including a guest service audition
  • Must possess a high level of maturity, dependability, and punctuality
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of Wind Creek Hospitality
  • Must be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, in English, effectively both verbally and in writing, and understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formats
  • Must successfully complete Responsible Vendor Alcoholic Beverage Service, and TIPS training
  • Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
  • Must have a Tribal Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position
  • Must have willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment
