Job summary

Kerry is seeking a Dairy Scientist in Beloit, WI to lead development and optimization of dairy and non-dairy beverage formulations. You will work across RD&A, Manufacturing, and Sales to deliver innovative beverage solutions, focusing on stability, texture, mouthfeel, and shelf life.

You will apply expertise in stabilizers, gums, emulsifiers, buffering systems, and processing technologies (HTST, UHT/aseptic, retort) while supporting customer briefs and technical communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related scientific discipline and beverage product development experience.
• Experience with stabilizers, gums, emulsifiers, and buffering systems.
• Knowledge of beverage processing technologies including HTST, UHT/aseptic, and retort.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with RD&A Scientists to understand beverage formulations, processing requirements, and manufacturing considerations for dairy and non-dairy beverages.
• Respond to customer briefs and develop tailored beverage solutions.
• Develop and optimize formulations using stabilizers, hydrocolloids, buffers, emulsifiers, proteins, and other ingredients.
• Conduct lab and pilot plant trials to assess performance, processing compatibility, and shelf-life.
