Job summary

Blue Chip Group in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Quality Technician to ensure the quality and reliability of products manufactured by the company. You will conduct inspections, implement quality control procedures, and collaborate with production, engineering, and other teams to resolve quality issues.

The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, solid problem-solving skills, and a commitment to high quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a quality control role in food manufacturing.
  • Experience with GMP and SQF/NSF preferred.
  • Proficiency with quality control tools and software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication.

Responsibilities

  • Train days but eventually will be a Night Shift Position.
  • Perform regular inspections of products at various stages of production to ensure quality.
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure consistency.
  • Collect and analyze data related to product quality, identifying trends.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspection results and corrective actions.
  • Work with production teams, engineers, and other stakeholders to address issues.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective actions.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Provide training to production staff on QC procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
  • Communicate with team and management about quality issues.

You Will Be Responsible For

  • Conduct root cause analysis to determine the underlying reasons for quality issues and develop effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance product quality and efficiency.
  • Provide training to production staff on quality control procedures and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding quality issues, status updates, and recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a quality control or quality assurance role, preferably in a food or dietary supplement manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with GMP certification bodies such as SQF, NSF, etc. preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in using quality control tools and software.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Adaptable and flexible to changing priorities and requirements.
  • Understanding of quality control principles, statistical methods, and quality management systems
