Job summary

Sunny Sky Products is seeking a Production Lead for our fast-paced beverage manufacturing facility in Houston, TX. Under the direction of the Shift Supervisor, you will collaborate with Quality and Production teams to ensure safe, efficient, and timely operations while maintaining high-quality standards.

This role involves blending, batching, machine operation, and coaching. You will lead production staff to meet targets, supervise in the absence of department leads, drive cost reductions

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and coaching skills.
• Strong commitment to food safety.
• Attention to detail and follow-through.
• Hands-on team leader.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Bilingual a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the production staff in achieving daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
• Fulfill the role of department supervisors in their absence.
• Assist with reducing manufacturing costs through process, equipment, and staff improvements.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in the production areas of the plant.
• Coach and train associates for team development.
• Ensure new hires are properly trained to perform their jobs at a high level.
• Help control inventory losses and other duties assigned.

Sunny Sky Products is the leading manufacturer and distributor of specialty beverage concentrates and enhancers. Our premium beverage products reach an array of retail customers including convenience stores, restaurants, concessions, schools, and institutional facilities. Sunny Sky's state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and corporate office is located in Houston, TX, where we produce a variety of thirst appealing beverages.

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Production Lead to join our team in a fast-paced beverage manufacturing facility. Under the direction of the Shift Supervisor, the Production Lead will collaborate with the Quality and Production teams to ensure safe, efficient, and timely operations while maintaining high-quality standards. This position involves significant leadership responsibilities, including blending, batching, machine operation, and training/coaching operators and laborers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the production staff in achieving daily, weekly, and monthly targets
• Fulfill the role of department supervisors in their absence
• Assist with reducing manufacturing costs through use of process, equipment, and staff improvements
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in the production areas of the plant.
• Coach and train associates for team development.
• Assist and promote positive development of production employees and ensuring that all new hires are properly and adequately trained to perform their job responsibilities at the highest level
• Help to control inventory losses and other duties assigned.

Hours

• Full time job
• Monday - Friday & Most Saturdays from 10PM - 6:30AM

Salary

• $20.00 per hour
