New Castle is seeking a Beverage Manager for a resort/hotel environment in Lexington, AL. You will lead a busy bar operation, ensure superb guest experiences, and maximize profitability through strong training and standards.
You will stay current with beverage trends, train staff on service and safety, and represent the venue during shifts as Manager on Duty, ensuring quality product and consistent service.
You are the consummate host and love to mix and mingle. You also love knowing the latest and greatest in beverage service so your hotel’s bars carry what is cutting edge as well as those beverages the public has come to expect. Running a busy and successful bar with a great guest experience and a strong bottom line drives you every day, while ensuring your team is fully trained on safe alcohol service. You are the Beverage Manager and in this role you will:
At least four years of progressive experience in food & beverage in a resort of hotel is required, with college coursework and prior supervisory experience preferred. To be successful in this role, you must be able to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively and professionally in English. You must be able to professional deal with difficult situations and people. You will regularly use a computer and various software programs and must have certified alcohol training. Physical requirements include the ability to work long hours, Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Possess the ability to bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body and arms, work under variable temperatures and noise levels. Near Vision - The ability to see details at close range. Ability to stand for long periods of time without sitting or leaning.
