Job summary

The Greenleigh River Oaks in Houston is seeking a Beverage Manager to lead beverage operations across bars, lounges, and programs. This role partners with property leadership to ensure exceptional service, financial performance, and memorable guest experiences.

The ideal candidate will have 2–4 years in beverage management, strong knowledge of spirits, wine, beer and cocktails, and proven ability to train and develop teams while controlling costs.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of beverage, bar, or hospitality management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, cocktails, and responsible alcohol service.
  • Experience developing beverage menus and managing beverage programs.
  • Proven experience leading, training, and developing hospitality teams.
  • Financial acumen with experience managing beverage inventory, labor, and cost controls.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of all hotel beverage outlets, including bars, lounges, and beverage service.
  • Maintain exceptional beverage quality, presentation, service execution, and guest satisfaction.
  • Develop, implement, and uphold beverage service, appearance, and operational standards.
  • Hire, train, mentor, and manage bartenders and beverage team members.
  • Lead regular team meetings to ensure consistent communication and service excellence.
  • Manage beverage purchasing, inventory, ordering, and cost controls to achieve financial goals.
  • Assist with budgeting, labor management, payroll, and beverage cost analysis.
  • Develop seasonal cocktail menus, wine and beer selections, and promotional beverage programs.
  • Partner with Culinary, Sales, Marketing, and Banquet teams to support events and maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with all alcohol service regulations, health, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Monitor beverage industry trends to keep offerings innovative and competitive.

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-driven Beverage Manager to oversee all beverage operations, ensuring exceptional service, operational excellence, and memorable guest experiences across our bars, lounges, and beverage programs.

This role partners closely with property leadership to oversee beverage planning, inventory management, team development, and service standards. The ideal candidate is guest-focused, financially savvy, and passionate about crafting outstanding beverage experiences while developing high-performing teams.

Requested Tasks

Requested Capabilities
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in beverage, bar, or hospitality management.
  • Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, cocktails, and responsible alcohol service.
  • Experience developing beverage menus and managing beverage programs.
  • Proven experience leading, training, and developing hospitality teams.
  • Financial acumen with experience managing beverage inventory, labor, and cost controls.
  • Exceptional guest service, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
  • TABC Certification (or the ability to obtain certification) preferred.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
