Job summary

The Greenleigh in Houston seeks a dynamic Beverage Manager to oversee beverage operations across bars, lounges, and programs. You will ensure exceptional service, operational excellence, and memorable guest experiences through strategic leadership and financial stewardship.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of beverage management, strong knowledge of drinks, and a track record of developing beverage menus and leading teams.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of beverage or hospitality management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, cocktails and responsible service.
  • Experience developing beverage menus and managing beverage programs.
  • Proven experience leading, training, and developing hospitality teams.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of hotel beverage outlets, bars, lounges and service.
  • Maintain exceptional beverage quality, presentation, service and guest satisfaction.
  • Develop, implement and uphold beverage standards and costs.
  • Hire, train, mentor and manage bartenders and beverage team.
  • Lead regular team meetings to ensure service excellence.
  • Manage beverage purchasing, inventory ordering and cost controls.
  • Assist with budgeting, labor, payroll and beverage cost analysis.
  • Develop seasonal cocktail menus and beverage programs.
  • Collaborate with Culinary, Sales, Marketing and Banquet teams on events.
  • Ensure compliance with alcohol service regulations and health standards.

Beverage Manager

At The Greenleigh, beverages are an integral part of the guest experience. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-driven Beverage Manager to oversee all beverage operations, ensuring exceptional service, operational excellence, and memorable guest experiences across our bars, lounges, and beverage programs.

This role partners closely with property leadership to oversee beverage planning, inventory management, team development, and service standards. The ideal candidate is guest-focused, financially savvy, and passionate about crafting outstanding beverage experiences while developing high-performing teams.

Requested Tasks
  • Oversee daily operations of all hotel beverage outlets, including bars, lounges, and beverage service
  • Maintain exceptional beverage quality, presentation, service execution, and guest satisfaction.
  • Develop, implement, and uphold beverage service, appearance, and operational standards.
  • Hire, train, mentor, and manage bartenders and beverage team members.
  • Lead regular team meetings to ensure consistent communication and service excellence.
  • Manage beverage purchasing, inventory, ordering, and cost controls to achieve financial goals.
  • Assist with budgeting, labor management, payroll, and beverage cost analysis.
  • Develop seasonal cocktail menus, wine and beer selections, and promotional beverage programs.
  • Partner with Culinary, Sales, Marketing, and Banquet teams to support events and maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with all alcohol service regulations, health, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Monitor beverage industry trends to keep offerings innovative and competitive.
  • Collaborate closely with property leadership to drive operational excellence and guest satisfaction.
Requested Capabilities
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in beverage, bar, or hospitality management.
  • Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, cocktails, and responsible alcohol service.
  • Experience developing beverage menus and managing beverage programs.
  • Proven experience leading, training, and developing hospitality teams.
  • Financial acumen with experience managing beverage inventory, labor, and cost controls.
  • Exceptional guest service, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
  • TABC Certification (or the ability to obtain certification) preferred.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
