Job summary

Sunny Sky Products is seeking a Quality Technician to perform inspections and testing across the manufacturing process, ensuring products meet quality and safety standards. You will collect data, run tests, document results, and communicate issues to the Quality Manager.

In this role, you will support continuous improvement, collaborate with Production, and help maintain a safe, compliant environment. This entry-level to mid-level QA position requires basic computer skills and willingness to

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred; entry-level QA will be considered.
  • Basic computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to learn SAP and other quality systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming inspections of carriers, raw ingredients, and packaging materials.
  • Review and document Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for incoming materials.
  • Monitor, analyze, and document in-process conditions, materials, and finished products.
  • Collect samples for microbiological testing and perform routine lab testing.
  • Conduct analytical testing of ingredients and finished products.
  • Conduct GMP inspections and documentation reviews for compliance.
  • Monitor GMPs, SSOPs, and OPRPs.
  • Maintain retain samples and document results clearly.
  • Calibrate and verify laboratory and production equipment.
  • Monitor temperature records and chart recorders.
  • Communicate deficiencies to QA Manager promptly.
  • Use SAP and other quality systems to maintain records.
  • Maintain system access for daily responsibilities.
  • Support QA initiatives and projects as assigned.

Sunny Sky Products prides itself on our commitment and dedication to creating, manufacturing and delivering top quality products in the beverage industry. We have generated an extensive product portfolio that includes frozen dispensed beverages, cold dispensed, hot dispensed and beverage enhancers

We are seeking a Quality Technician who will be responsible for performing quality inspections and testing throughout the manufacturing process to ensure products meet company, customer, and regulatory quality standards. This role will monitor and verify food safety and quality programs, including GMPs, SSOPs, and Operational Prerequisite Programs (OPRPs), while conducting inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods

The Quality Technician will collect and analyze quality data, perform laboratory testing, calibrate and monitor equipment, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate any quality or food safety concerns to the Quality Manager in a timely manner. This position also supports continuous improvement initiatives and collaborates closely with Production to maintain a safe and compliant manufacturing environment

Responsibilities
  • Perform incoming inspections of carriers, raw ingredients, and packaging materials.

  • Perform production floor audits, GMP inspections, and documentation reviews to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Monitor compliance with GMPs, SSOPs, and OPRPs.
  • Collect, label, store, and maintain retain samples.
  • Calibrate and verify laboratory and production equipment.
  • Monitor temperature records and chart recorders.
  • Document inspection and testing results accurately and communicate any deficiencies or non-conformances to the Quality Manager promptly.
  • Utilize SAP and other quality systems to maintain records and support production activities.
  • Maintain individual email, SAP, and Alchemy system access for daily responsibilities.
  • Support additional quality assurance initiatives and projects as assigned by QA Management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred; entry-level QA experience will also be considered.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to learn and utilize SAP and other quality management systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and remain organized in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good attendance and reliability.
  • Must be willing to work extended hours during peak production season (October - February).
Working Hours
  • Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM. Extended hours are required during the busy season (October - February), with typical shifts from 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
Salary
  • $18.00per hour
