Job summary

Heidelberg Distributing Company in Youngstown, OH seeks a full-time Delivery Driver responsible for delivering products to accounts within a designated territory. The role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced beverage environment.

Typical schedule is Tuesday through Friday, 5 AM to 3 PM with possible overtime. Starting pay is $22.00 per hour, plus benefits after 90 days including medical and dental, and 401K contributions.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid standard Driver’s license and meet insurance requirements.
• CDL holders must pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a drug screen and background check.
• Must be willing to work flexible shifts if needed.
• Must have strong customer service skills and a strong understanding of DOT rules and regulations.
• Must have a positive, winning attitude and excellent attendance record.
• Must be a fast-paced individual with strong work ethic.
• Must have strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Regular, consistent attendance is required.
• Must be able to move or lift up to 165 lbs on occasion and repetitively list 25+ lbs throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Pre-trip and post-trip inspections completed on a daily basis.
• Deliveries made in a safe and efficient manner.
• Communicate effectively and with respect to customers and fellow associates.
• Assist the warehouse as needed.
• Must be able to understand documents such as safety rules, operations and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Secure company property at all times including cash, checks and company vehicle.
• Maintain a clean and effective workplace.
• Other duties as assigned by Operations Manager.
