City of Victoria’s Riverside Golf Course is seeking a Beverage Cart Attendant to deliver snacks and beverages on-course and in the clubhouse with outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of six months customer service and cash handling experience preferred.
  • Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) Certification required within two weeks of employment.
  • Credit report review; must meet City guidelines.
  • Valid Texas driver’s license with a driving record meeting City standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly, first-class customer service when delivering snacks and beverages on-course, in the clubhouse, and during all shifts.
  • Maintain a clean, well-organized beverage cart and keep inventory stocked.
  • Process cash and credit payments accurately using the POS system; ensure money and inventory are secure.
  • Assist in maintaining course safety and keep the clubhouse and cart area clean.
  • Travel between facilities as needed and adapt to daily course conditions.
  • Maintain professional grooming, uniform standards, and punctuality for all shifts.
  • Work weekdays, weekends, and holidays as required.

Job description

The Beverage Cart Attendant is a highly visible and essential team member at Riverside Golf Course. This position plays a key role in delivering outstanding customer service and enhancing the overall guest experience. The role involves the professional handling of snack and beverage service both on-course and in the clubhouse.

Customer Service
  • Provide friendly, first-class customer service when delivering snacks and beverages on-course, in the clubhouse, and during all shifts.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of golf course layout and proper golf etiquette to ensure efficient and courteous service.
  • Promote and represent the golf course in a positive and professional manner at all times.
  • Maintain professional grooming, uniform standards, and punctuality for all scheduled shifts.
Operations & Inventory
  • Maintain a clean, well-organized, and properly stocked beverage cart throughout each shift.
  • Stock and restock inventory and supplies at the beginning of the day, throughout the day, and as directed by operating checklists.
  • Reconcile and unload beverage and snack inventory at the end of each shift, ensuring accurate records.
  • Accurately process all transactions using the provided point-of-sale system, including both cash and credit card payments.
  • Ensure all money and inventory are kept secure at all times.
Safety & Facility Care
  • Practice safety and courtesy with golfers and fellow staff members at all times.
  • Assist in keeping the golf course clean and free of trash.
  • Remain knowledgeable about daily course conditions and important course updates relevant to each shift.
Physical and Environmental Conditions
  • Ability to travel between facilities as needed.
  • Exposure to varying seasonal temperatures and outdoor elements.
  • Frequent walking, standing, kneeling, squatting, and twisting required to stock and maintain the beverage cart.
  • Ability to walk on uneven, sloped, or loose ground.
  • Exposure to insects, chemicals, mechanical hazards, water, and dust.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a routine basis.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Outgoing personality with a strong customer service orientation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Effective presentation skills.
  • Basic math proficiency related to cash handling and credit card transactions.
  • Knowledge of point-of-sale systems and basic computer skills.
  • Availability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Education, Experience, and Certifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
