Job summary

The Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa is seeking a Beverage Cart Attendant to deliver exceptional food and beverage service across the golf course and pool areas. You will manage inventory, assist guests with selections, and ensure compliance with health and alcohol service regulations.

Qualifications

Position Summary

The Beverage Cart Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to guests throughout the golf course, pool area, or other designated resort locations. This position ensures timely service, maintains proper inventory levels, processes transactions accurately, and creates a welcoming and engaging guest experience while adhering to all food safety and alcohol service regulations.

Essential Job Functions

Guest Service

• Provide friendly, professional, and attentive service to all guests.
• Greet guests warmly and offer food and beverage selections.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests.
• Build positive relationships with guests to enhance the overall resort experience.
• Resolve guest concerns professionally and elevate issues when necessary.

Beverage Cart Operations

• Operate the beverage cart safely throughout designated service areas.
• Maintain proper inventory of alcoholic beverages, non-alcoholic beverages, snacks, and supplies.
• Restock and organize the beverage cart before, during, and after shifts.
• Ensure products are attractively displayed and readily available.
• Monitor inventory levels and notify management of shortages.

Food & Beverage Service

• Prepare and serve beverages and packaged food items according to established standards.
• Verify age and identification of guests purchasing alcoholic beverages.
• Follow all responsible alcohol service policies and applicable laws.
• Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, promotions, and resort amenities.
• Ensure all food and beverage items are served in compliance with health and safety standards.

Cash Handling

• Accurately process cash, credit card, and other payment transactions.
• Maintain accountability for all sales and inventory.
• Complete daily sales reports and cash reconciliation procedures.
• Follow established cash handling and loss prevention policies.

Cleanliness & Safety

• Maintain cleanliness of the beverage cart, equipment, and service areas.
• Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
• Follow company safety procedures and operate equipment safely.
• Report maintenance, safety, or operational concerns promptly

Qualifications: Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous food and beverage, retail, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to handle cash and operate point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must possess or obtain any required food handler and alcohol service certifications.
• Valid driver's license may be required based on property needs.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and maneuver a beverage cart safely.

Work Environment

• Primarily outdoor environment.
• Exposure to varying temperatures, sun, wind, and other weather conditions.
• Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules as business demands require.
