Job summary

PlusAI is seeking a Deep Learning Research Intern to join its Perception team. You will work on Bird's Eye View (BEV) fusion models using camera, LiDAR, and radar to enable 3D scene understanding for autonomous trucks.

The role involves building scalable perception algorithms and evaluating them on large-scale datasets. The ideal candidate is a PhD or Master's student in AI/CS/EE/Robotics with strong Python and DL framework experience (PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX) and a solid CV/3D geometry

Qualifications

• PhD or Master's in AI/CS/EE/Robotics required.
• Strong Python and DL pipeline skills.
• Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
• Strong CV and 3D geometry foundation.
• BEV or LiDAR 3D perception coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

• Research BEV perception models fusing camera, LiDAR and radar.
• Design experiments benchmarking on large autonomous driving datasets.
• Explore multimodal fusion architectures for accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaborate with researchers to translate findings into production components.
• Document experiments and insights for the team.
• Follow QMS guidelines where applicable.
