Job summary

Toyota Motor North America is seeking a skilled OpCenter Engineer to design, configure, and support Siemens OpCenter for manufacturing, quality, and logistics at the Liberty Battery Plant in Liberty, NC. The role reports to the MOM Product Owner and requires residence within commuting distance.

You will develop workflows, data models, and integrations across ERP, PLC, SCADA, and other plant systems, leveraging SQL and scripting languages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years experience implementing or supporting MES platforms (Siemens OpCenter preferred).
• Experience integrating MES with ERP and shopfloor systems (PLC, SCADA).
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one scripting language (JavaScript, C#, Python).
• Experience developing APIs or working with system integrations.
• Bonus: Siemens OpCenter modules (Discrete, Foundation, Quality, Logistics).
• Automotive or battery manufacturing experience; low‑code platforms experience.
• Experience in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.

• Build and maintain integrations between OpCenter and ERP, PLC, SCADA, and other plant systems.

• Troubleshoot MES-related issues and implement performance improvements in production environments.
• Support testing activities, including unit and system testing of OpCenter functionality.
• Collaborate with business analysts and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Who we’re looking for

Toyota’s Manufacturing IT Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated OpCenter Engineer. The primary responsibility of this role is to design, configure, and support Siemens OpCenter solutions for manufacturing, quality, and logistics processes. Reporting to the Siemens MOM Product Owner, the person in this role will support the Manufacturing IT department’s objective to deliver a reliable and scalable MES platform for the Liberty battery plant. This position is based in the Battery Plant in Liberty, NC. The selected candidate will be expected to reside within a commutable distance of this location.

What you’ll be doing

• Configure and customize Siemens OpCenter to meet manufacturing and business requirements

What you bring

• Experience integrating MES with ERP systems and shopfloor systems (PLC, SCADA)
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one scripting/programming language (e.g., JavaScript, C#, Python)
• Experience developing APIs or working with system integrations
• Added bonus if you have Experience with Siemens OpCenter modules (Discrete, Foundation, Quality, Logistics)
• Experience in automotive or battery manufacturing environments
• Experience with Mendix/Ignition or other low-code platforms
• Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments
