The Texas Workforce Commission is hiring an Administrative Assistant V to provide advanced administrative support. This role involves coordinating documents, managing schedules, and supporting the BET Director in a dynamic work environment focused on efficiency. Candidates should possess four years of relevant experience and proficiency in office management tools. WHO YOU ARE:
Someone who has knowledge of accepted business practices and procedures as well as related legislative and legal practices and procedures. You are a skilled office manager who communicates effectively, can handle high level administrative issues and analyze and solve work related problems.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The BET Administrative Assistant V performs highly advanced (senior-level) administrative support work. Works under minimal supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO:
-Support the BET Director by coordinating the preparation, editing and distribution of correspondence, documents, reports, forms, and e-mails.
-Process and maintain a tracking system for payments and invoices.
-Respond to inquiries regarding BET’s technical program and administrative policies and procedures.
-Manage and maintain schedules and travel arrangements for BET Director and field support staff.
-Coordinate meetings, conferences, annual trainings, and quarterly meetings.
-Use DocuSign to route documents for signature.
-Coordinate and perform general office duties.
-Perform other duties as assigned.
YOU QUALIFY WITH:
-Four years of full-time experience that provided knowledge of administrative support functions and office practices and procedures, or clerical administration and business management practices, such as preparation, maintenance and control of forms, records and reports.
-Relevant academic credits may be applied toward experience qualifications for this position.
