Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company, via WECTEC Staffing Services, seeks a BESS Project Management Consultant for a 1-year contract in Juno Beach, FL. You will coordinate internal and external resources across Development, Engineering, Estimating, Supply Chain, Scheduling, and Construction for Battery Energy Storage System projects in the E&C unit.

The role spans multiple projects nationwide, with occasional travel and reporting to the onsite manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience in applicable field.
• Experience: 5+ years.

Responsibilities

• Critical coordination of matrixed project development teams to meet project schedule.
• Coordinate with environmental, regulatory, cultural, land acquisition, interconnection, etc.
• Develop the project's technical scope.
• Optimize project variables to improve technical and financial feasibility.
• Support origination and development teams with PPA and GIA negotiations.
• Support development teams with jurisdictional needs.
• Coordinate engineering, estimating and procurement requirements.
• Support the E&C engineering team with technical attributes for the development of designs.
• Support the E&C cost estimating team for development of financial model.
• Present financial model to executives and manage budget approvals.
• Competitively source, negotiate and execute contracts for critical services.
• Engage with executives, regulators, agencies, local communities, and stakeholders.
• Present project progress and risk mitigation in meetings with management.

About the role

Location: Juno Beach, FL 33408

We're looking for a BESS Project Management Consultant on behalf of our client. This is a 1-year contract assignment.(W-2) You will join the Engineering & Construction (E&C) Your department in Juno Beach, FL. You will be responsible for daily project coordination of internal and external resources to support Development, Engineering, Estimating, Supply Chain, Scheduling, and Construction activities. From pre-construction (Early Stage) up to the point of Construction for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects within the Engineering and Construction Business Unit (E&C).

You will focus not on a single project, but rather on all at varying stages. Current portfolio of projects spans the United States and Canada. We require occasional travel to visit the assigned project locations and to support Development with local public hearings.

Key Responsibilities

• Critical coordination of highly matrixed project development teams to ensure resources arefocused on the right activity at the right time to meet project schedule.


• Coordinate with environmental, regulatory, cultural, land acquisition, interconnection, etc., toensure all project variables are identified and incorporated.


• Develop the project's technical scope.


• Optimize project variables to improve both technical and financial feasibility.


• Support origination and development teams with PPA and GIA negotiations.


• Support development teams with jurisdictional needs.


• Coordinate engineering, estimating and procurement requirements.


• Support the E&C engineering team with technical attributes for the development of designs.


• Support the E&C cost estimating team for development of financial model.


• Present financial model to respective business unit(s) and actively manage financial modelthrough executive budget approvals.


• Competitively source, negotiate and execute commercial contracts for critical servicesincluding geotechnical, survey, engineering, and EPC/PC construction services.


• Uphold and represent E&C's interests on assigned projects.


• Engage in a variety of software applications to support your activities, manage critical dataand deliverables as well as report on key indicators.


• Support process improvements and efficiency initiatives to scale for growth.


• Actively communicate and interface with Executive Leadership, Suppliers, Regulatory


• Agencies, Local Communities, and other stakeholders.


• Present project progress and risk mitigation in meetings with various levels of management.


• Ensure you turn over projects moving to the Construction stage to the Construction Project Manager with an inclusive and executable construction plan.
