Job summary

• Integrate BESS with generators, MV distribution, and microgrids.
• Work with PCS, protection & controls, EMS, and grid-forming/grid-following inverters.
• Support power system modeling, stability, reliability, and availability analyses.
• Review EPC and vendor design packages; support technical decisions.
• Ensure BESS designs meet industry standards and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams on issues and delivery.

Looking for a BESS Integration Engineer with strong experience in power systems, energy storage, and utility-scale or industrial BESS integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Integrate BESS with generators, medium-voltage distribution systems, and microgrids.
• Work with battery technologies, PCS, protection & controls, EMS, and grid-forming/grid-following inverters.
• Support power system modeling, stability, reliability, and availability analysis.
• Review EPC and vendor design packages and support technical decisions.
• Ensure BESS designs align with applicable industry standards and safety requirements.
• Work with vendors and cross-functional teams on technical issues and project delivery.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Power Systems, Energy Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in power systems, energy storage, renewable integration, utility, or similar infrastructure projects.
• Direct experience with utility-scale or industrial BESS.
• Experience with medium-voltage systems, microgrids, or power generation integration.
• Experience with ETAP, PSCAD, or equivalent is preferred.
• Strong technical leadership, problem-solving, communication, and vendor management skills.
