Bartech Staffing seeks an experienced BESS Commissioning Manager to oversee commissioning of Battery Energy Storage Systems and solar-coupled projects. You will manage EPC/OEM activities, safety, quality, testing, and startup as the Owner's representative, traveling to project sites as needed.
You will lead system walkdowns, energization plans, and testing coordination, while reporting progress to senior leadership and interfacing with third parties.
Work with one of the world's largest Battery Energy Storage System Developers for our client as their Commissioning Manager. The primary role is to oversee subcontractors and OEMs in the delivery, installation, quality, plant testing, performance testing, ISO/GIA/PPA testing, and startup of Battery Energy Storage Systems and Solar Coupled Power systems. Act as the Owner's representative to oversee aspects of the energy storage system including site work, installation, status reporting, safety, quality control, startup, commissioning, testing, and project closeout. (Note: The Owner will contract a turnkey EPC; this role will oversee the EPC and OEMs on the Owner's behalf.) Employees in this role manage and report on construction turnover, pre-energization, commissioning, and performance testing work performed by contractors and/or vendors at the project site.
US. Travel and stay at project locations for duration of commissioning. Travel up to 75%. Other work is remote, supporting teams in remote SCADA monitoring and commissioning portfolio management.
Senior Project Manager
Engineering or professional electrical career in power systems commissioning with minimum 100MW-hr or 5 energy storage systems and commissioning experience. Background with BESS is preferred. Experience with SCADA is preferred.
