BERT OGDEN MISSION CHEVROLET BODYSHOP ESTIMATOR
The Estimator position interacts with customers to evaluate vehicle collision damage, body and paint concerns, manufacture warranty paint and body needs and offer any additional needed vehicle service needs. The Estimator acquires and retains customers for the Bert Ogden Auto Group Collision Repair Center services through the orchestrated fulfillment of customer needs. The estimator position is responsible for a high level of customer interaction as well as coordinating repair order completion with the blueprinting dept, body technicians and body shop parts department. The Estimator is expected to be an energetic, enthusiastic team member that presents a leadership example in all company activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Present a friendly, pleasant, accommodating, cheerful, courteous, helpful, outgoing disposition before all insurance company personnel and customers and fellow employees at all times.
- Be consistent and reliable and adhere to work schedule with being present at the facility 30 mins before opening for production meetings and 30 mins after to verify deliveries and extend normal working hours as necessary to accommodate unusually heavy workload.
- Communicate repair needs with customers and explain projected timelines and estimates.
- Communicate customer expectations in production meetings and document via email to management and update customers throughout the repair process.
- Effectively communicate with insurance companies and customers greeting everyone in the process of the vehicle being repaired and making every effort to make all customers or potential customers feel comfortable and welcome during the sales and estimate process or whenever visiting the shop.
- Make every attempt to resolve any customer concern before reaching management level using provided protocols and negotiation tools and report any deviations and remedies to management immediately via email or written documentation.
- Deliver estimates, obtain work authorizations, and deliver repair orders, supplements, and warranties.
- Confidence to handle high volumes under pressure.
- Maintain a well-groomed appearance and organized work area.
- Meet customer service standards by achieving positive customer service reviews.
- Have strong organizational computer skills with knowledge in estimating and management systems including CCC One, Mitchell, Audatex, Profit Net Bodyshop Management System, and Reynolds and Reynolds Dealership Management System.
- Thoroughly document repair process; prepare all damage reports in an accurate and efficient manner.
- Estimate repairs by evaluating body damage, developing estimates, and preparing work orders.
- Establish and maintain good work attitude and working relationships with other internal departments, insurance adjusters, employees, and customers to encourage repeat and referral business.
- Demonstrate ethical business practices and integrity in all interactions to uphold the Bert Ogden Auto Group brand.
- Meet or exceed minimum individual daily, weekly, monthly and annual sales goals.
- Perform all assigned activities according to the Standardized Operating Procedures.
- Continuously strive to improve the efficiency of all company operations and be willing to participate in company meetings and training programs which are sponsored by the company.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Review the completed vehicle to check quality and thoroughness.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 21 years old or older.
- Must be able to pass a hair follicle drug test and a background screening check.
- Valid Texas driver’s license and a good driving record.
- High school diploma or the equivalent.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
- General mechanical skills.
- Manual dexterity.
- Good Judgment.
