Job summary

YMCA of Greater Indianapolis is seeking a Program Instructor III to lead aerobic and fitness classes under supervision. The role emphasizes safety, clear instruction, and a non-competitive environment for members.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 3–4 years of group exercise leadership, and current CPR/AED, First Aid, and related certifications or the ability to obtain them within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma, or its equivalent, and 3-4 years experience leading group exercise is required.
• Minimum of 18 years of age and knowledge of basic exercise science.
• Ability to demonstrate aerobic choreography and maintain safety in class.

Responsibilities

• Lead aerobic and/or fitness classes with quality supervision.
• Maintain a safe, non-competitive environment for YMCA members.
• Verbally provide clear directions and visually inspect the classroom for safety.
