Job summary

Busey is seeking a Benefits Generalist to provide administrative and operational support for associate benefit and wellness programs. The role ensures data accuracy across HRIS, payroll, and vendor systems, supports enrollment, billing, reporting, and eligibility processes, and assists with audits and compliance.

You will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors, maintain documentation, support budgeting and cost analysis, and help drive a positive associate experience through

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or some college coursework in HR, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, spreadsheets, data review).
• Familiar with HRIS, payroll, and vendor systems.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Attention to detail and deadline-driven.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate benefit data across HRIS, payroll, and vendor systems.
• Assist with enrollment, billing, reporting, and eligibility processes.
• Perform regular benefit reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Track benefit expenses and assist with budgeting and cost analysis.
• Support audits, renewals, and special projects including mergers.
• Respond to associate inquiries and provide admin support.
