Fox Valley Technical College seeks a Benefits Specialist to administer FVTC’s employee benefits programs and serve as a primary resource for time off, leave, accommodation, and related support services. The role emphasizes delivering excellent customer service and coordinating wellbeing initiatives.

The position entails leading benefits enrollment, collaborating with payroll and IT on systems, and ensuring compliance with ACA and retirement plan processes while supporting a productive campus

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Human Resources or related field.
• Four to Five years of progressively responsible experience in employee benefits administration, leave administration, systems, and analytical experience.
• Experience coordinating employee wellbeing programs preferred.
• Experience working in employee benefits administration, insurance, benefits consulting, brokerage, carrier operations, human resources, or a related field preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills
• Experience working with HR Information System (preferably Workday)

Responsibilities

• Administer employee and retiree benefit programs including health, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, disability, life insurance, and voluntary benefits.
• Lead annual and ongoing benefits enrollment processes in partnership with payroll, IT, and HR systems.
• Leave, Accommodation, and Workers’ Compensation Support: provide guidance and backup support for leave programs (FMLA, disability) and accommodation matters.
• Compliance, Administration, and Operational Support: ACA eligibility tracking, administration, and reporting; reconcile invoices and retiree billing; coordinate changes with payroll and HR
