Job summary

A-1 Electrical Contractors, Inc. in Metairie, LA is hiring an HR Benefits Specialist to run the day-to-day administration of our employee benefits programs.

You’ll be the go-to resource for employees in the office and in the field, helping them understand their options, get enrolled, and get answers when they need them. Because A-1 offers self-insured plans, you’ll also do research and analysis that helps our leaders make smart decisions about our benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of human resources experience.
• 2+ years of benefits administration experience.
• Experience with COBRA, ACA, HIPAA, and Section 125 plan rules.
• Experience with HRIS or benefits platforms; strong Excel for cost analysis.

Responsibilities

• Administer A-1's benefit plans across medical, dental, vision, life, disability, voluntary benefits, HSA, 401(k).
• Support self-insured plans, track claims, costs, and stop-loss with the TPA.
• Research and model costs; present recommendations to leadership.
