Job summary

Lever, Inc. seeks an experienced Benefits Administrator to own the health, welfare, and 401(k) programs end to end.

You will partner with Payroll, HR, and Onboarding to support a multi-state workforce, manage renewals, and ensure compliant administration with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and related laws. Responsibilities include plan design evaluation, enrollment and eligibility corrections, vendor coordination with Paycom, audits, notices, and annual 401(k) compliance activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 5 years in benefits administration, with self-funded medical plan oversight.
• At least 3 years leading renewals and open enrollment cycles.
• Experience administering a 401(k) plan with nondiscrimination testing.
• Advanced Excel and renewal cost modeling skills.
• Working knowledge of ERISA, ACA, COBRA, and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Owns plan strategy, renewal, and vendor coordination for self-funded medical and 401(k) programs.
• -manage enrollments, eligibility changes, COBRA, and ACA tracking for multi-state staff.
• Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and related regulations.
• Oversee documentation, notices, and Form 5500 with broker/TPA partners.
• Collaborate with Payroll, Employee Relations, and Onboarding on benefits across lifecycle.
• Lead day-to-day benefits and 401(k) administration and resolve escalations.
• Prepare committee materials and support fiduciary reviews for the 401(k) plan.
