Job summary
Air Line Pilots Association, International in Tysons (McLean), Virginia, invites an experienced Benefits Specialist to join the Retirement & Insurance team. You will provide technical support on employee benefits, including group life, health, dental, disability, and Section 125 plans, and collaborate with Benefits Attorneys and MEC committees.
The role requires strong knowledge of ERISA and tax code, with travel up to 20%.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Five years of benefits experience required; more is preferred.
- Experience with retirement and welfare benefits design and operation.
- Familiarity with ERISA, ACA, FMLA, HIPAA, and IRS code.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Benefits Specialists and Attorneys on benefit matters.
- Provide technical support on employee benefits to MEC members and staff.
- Draft and review benefit communications and newsletters.
- Prepare retirement, insurance, and welfare benefit proposals for negotiations.
- Assist in benefits training events and seminars.
