Spee Dee Delivery is a family owned and operated company that was started in 1978 by Donald and Sylvia Weeres. Our core business is in standard, next-day, ground delivery. The corporate headquarters and main sort facility is located in St. Cloud, MN. We currently employ over 1,800 employees company wide and have expanded throughout the Midwest over the years.

Job Summary

The Benefits Specialist will accurately enter data, analyze reports, and perform audits within the Benefits department.

Hours and Wages
  • Monday-Friday, 7:30AM-4:30PM
  • $20.00-$22.00 per hour, based on experience
Duties And Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with the Payroll Department to ensure proper deduction or reversal of specific transactions. Prepare, track and coordinate with Payroll department employee payment plans for balances in arrears
  • Gather data, create, and analyze scheduled reports
  • Record, process, and document information relating to work-related injuries, including upkeep of scheduling database. Update and coordinate non-litigated workers' compensation claim files with gathered information
  • Accept inbound calls from employees and vendors, discuss rates, and obtain, record, and process information regarding work-related injuries. Also provide on-site support to employees in St. Cloud
  • Provide benefit information and support to employees
  • Perform monthly benefit billing audits and audits involving employee deduction records
  • Monitor company attendance to determine eligibility for company sponsored benefit programs
  • Cross train and serve as back-up to other Benefit Department staff regarding covering duties such as: requests for and distribution of benefit-related material, database management, and coordinating with outside vendors
  • Participate and assist in scheduled meetings, trainings, and special projects as assigned by management
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

  • General knowledge of employment, workers' compensation, and benefits law and practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Education And Experience
  • At least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in benefits or human resources preferred
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
