About the Opportunity
Our client is a leading professional services organization seeking a Benefits Specialist to join its Human Resources/Total Rewards team. This is an excellent opportunity for a benefits professional who enjoys working in a sophisticated, professional environment and wants to expand their expertise across employee benefits, compensation, pensions, and other total rewards programs.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in employee benefits, compensation, or total rewards, with law firm experience strongly preferred. Candidates from other professional services environments will also be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Responsibilities
- Support the administration of employee benefit and compensation programs across multiple jurisdictions.
- Assist employees and managers with questions regarding benefits, compensation, pension plans, and related programs.
- Maintain accurate employee benefits and compensation data and ensure timely updates within HR systems.
- Support benefits and compensation administration within Workday, including data maintenance, reporting, and related processes.
- Research benefits, compensation, and pay-related issues and provide clear, accurate information to employees and internal stakeholders.
- Partner with Finance, Human Resources, vendors, survey providers, and other internal teams to resolve issues and support ongoing programs.
- Assist with benefits-related projects, annual processes, surveys, audits, and reporting.
- Analyze data and prepare reports using Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Help ensure benefits and compensation programs are administered accurately and consistently while expanding knowledge of requirements across additional jurisdictions.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee and compensation information.
- Support other Total Rewards initiatives and projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience in employee benefits, compensation, total rewards, or a closely related HR function.
- Law firm experience preferred; candidates from other professional services organizations will be considered based on relevant experience.
- Working knowledge of employee benefits, pensions, compensation administration, and pay-related processes.
- Experience supporting benefits or compensation administration in Workday is preferred.
- Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to understand information and communicate it clearly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain benefits and compensation information in a straightforward manner.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with employees, managers, Finance, vendors, and survey providers.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, as well as Word and PowerPoint.
