Job summary

CFS, a Columbus-based non-profit, is seeking a Benefits Specialist to support the HR team in-office. This role centers on benefits administration and wellness programs with strong attention to detail. Salary is $65-$90k DOE and the position is in-office.

You will work with leadership, brokers, and the finance team to manage leaves, COBRA, records, and vendor invoices. The ideal candidate has experience with benefits enrollment and FMLA/ADA, plus intermediate Excel.

Qualifications

• Experience with benefits enrollment processes and programs.
• Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, workers' comp, and disability leave processes.
• Proficiency in Excel Pivot Tables is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to design and administer the organization's benefits and wellness plans.
• Collaborate with brokers and vendors to ensure high service levels.
• Manage leave programs including FMLA, ADA, workers' comp and short/long-term disability.
• Oversee COBRA notifications for new hires and for terminated employees.
• Maintain employee benefits records, files, and reports.
• Coordinate with Finance to reconcile and pay benefit invoices.

Responsibilities Of The Benefits Specialist

• The Benefits Specialist will partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s benefits and wellness
• The Benefits Specialist will partner with the benefit's broker and other key vendors to maintain strong relationships and ensure service delivery standards are met
• Oversee all employee leave plans, Americans with Disabilities (ADA), worker’s Compensation-related injuries, FMLA processes, short term and long disability programs and administration
• Oversees COBRA notification process including notification to new hire and terminated/separated employees
• Oversee the management of employee benefits records, files, and reports
• Collaborates with the finance team to ensure billings and invoices are reconciled and paid timely for all benefit related programs and vendors

Experience Preferred For The Benefits Specialist

• The Benefits Specialist must have extensive experience with benefits enrollment
• Experience with FMLA and short-and long-term disability
• Intermediate Excel skills - ability to perform Pivot Tables is a plus, not a must
• Preferred candidate will have a keen eye for detail and disposition to work diligently
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or HR Management is a plus

Salary is $65-$90k DOE. This is an in-office position.
