Job summary

Marsh McLennan Agency in Fort Lauderdale is seeking an Account Analyst to support the Account Management Team with client service needs, billing inquiries, and data tracking in the agency management system. You will summarize benchmarking data in MMA-formatted presentations and help manage eligibility updates in carrier systems.

The role requires a high school diploma, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and the ability to handle multiple requests with accuracy and urgency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree or higher a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the Account Management Team with client service needs such as billing inquiries, researching claim/enrollment issues and tracking and documenting service issues through the agency management system
• Input and summarize benchmarking data in MMA formatted presentation
• Monitor eligibility updates in carrier system; update information as needed
• Prepare and peer review Benefit Guides for clients with lower employee enrollment
• Escalate complex issues according to department standards
• Learn and adopt new tools/technology as available
• Participate in seminars, training workshops and webinars to enhance knowledge

A day in the life.

This is a hybrid position, based out of our regional office(s).

• Support the Account Management Team with client service needs such as billing inquiries, researching claim/enrollment issues and tracking and documenting service issues through the agency management system
• Input and summarize benchmarking data in MMA formatted presentation
• Monitor the Employee Navigator wall notification for eligibility updates. Update information in carrier system as needed (eligibility add, changes, terminations); Enter and review data in agency management system
• Prepare and peer review Benefit Guides for clients with less than a certain level of employees enrolled and/or revenue
• Escalate issues of increase complexity, according to department standards, to the applicable internal contact
• Take the initiative to gain proficiency with new tools/technology, as they become available
• Participate in company sponsored seminars, training workshops and webinars to enhance industry knowledge and education
• Other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.

We'd love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-15 insurance license within 90 days of hire
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook and Word
• Working knowledge of Benefit Point Management System and/or EPIC, or willingness to learn
• Respond quickly to client requests and work to provide appropriate information
• Accept accountability for the quality of work
• Well organized, strong attention to detail, deadline oriented, strong sense of urgency and self-motivated
• Ability to interact with various personality styles and manage requests from multiple sources
• Team-oriented and collaborative

These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:

• Bachelor's degree or higher
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Prior Agency or Benefit Carrier experience
• Intermediate to advanced skills in excel
