Job location: Remote - New Jersey, USA (ability to drive into the headquarters office in Ewing, NJ on an as-needed basis).

The Benefits Manager will oversee all benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, COBRA, FSA, HSA, 401(k), and other employee benefits. This role is key in maintaining and evolving the benefits strategy, communicating benefits value to employees and retirees, and providing competitive benefits aligned with Church & Dwight’s Total Rewards strategy.

This position is remote/home-based. Preference will be given to candidates near Ewing, NJ, as occasional in-office presence is required.

Responsibilities

  1. Support a culture of continuous improvement, automation, and standardization.
  2. Manage vendor relationships and support wellbeing programs.
  3. Participate in vendor negotiations with benefits brokers.
  4. Conduct open enrollment, benefit orientations, and new hire benefit introductions.
  5. Develop and deliver communication materials about the total rewards package.
  6. Manage the annual enrollment process and vendor implementation.
  7. Resolve operational issues with carriers, investigate discrepancies, and provide information as needed.
  8. Collaborate with HRIS, Payroll, and vendors to resolve enrollment and eligibility issues.
  9. Manage 401(k) audits and support related filings and notices.
  10. Assist in preparing benefit plan materials and employee communications.
  11. Stay informed on industry best practices, regulations, and the competitive environment, sharing knowledge internally.

Education/Experience

  1. BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience.
  2. 10+ years of experience in employee benefits, consulting or corporate.
  3. Experience with Workday required.
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship-building abilities.
  5. Strong critical thinking and attention to detail.
  6. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
  7. Comfortable in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  8. Interest in helping others navigate complex benefits.
  9. Problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple projects.
  10. Travel required 5-10%.
