Job summary

Extension, Inc. in West Bend, WI is seeking a Benefits & Leave Specialist for a DIRECT HIRE opportunity on a hybrid schedule with two remote days per week.

You will support benefits, FMLA, ADA accommodations, parental leave, and disability programs, serving as a resource for employees with benefits and leave questions.

Open Enrollment, new hire benefits orientations, communications, and benefits education are part of the role, plus processing life events, billing, and HRIS maintenance.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in HR, benefits or leave administration.
• Basic understanding of employee benefits and leave processes.
• Experience with FMLA, ADA or disability leave programs preferred.
• HRIS experience required; Paylocity experience a plus.
• Strong administrative and communication skills.

Key Objectives / Role Responsibilities

• Coordinate Benefits & Leave Specialist activities, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, parental leave, and disability programs.
• Serve as a resource for employees with benefits and leave-related questions.
• Support Open Enrollment, new hire benefits orientations, employee communications, and benefits education.
• Process life event changes, benefit updates, garnishments, and monthly benefits billing.
• Maintain HRIS and benefits vendor data, perform audits, and troubleshoot discrepancies.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in HR, benefits administration, leave administration, payroll support, or a related area.
• Basic understanding of employee benefits and leave processes.
• Experience with FMLA, ADA, disability, or other leave programs preferred.
• HRIS experience required; Paylocity experience is a plus.
• Strong administrative, organizational, data-entry, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Associate’s degree in HR or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Manufacturing experience is helpful but not required.

Salary Information

• $30 - $35/hour
