Job summary

Kids in Distress is seeking a part-time Benefits Enrollment Specialist to help Broward County families complete benefits enrollment applications and coordinate referrals. The role offers flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends, with emphasis on organization and case management.

You will maintain participant files, assist clients with enrollment, and work with staff and funders to ensure timely submissions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred; and two years of related experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours including some evening and weekend hours.
• Must be computer literate with a solid foundation in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Must have transportation and be willing to visit clients in their home with a valid Florida Driver's License and insurance.
• Experience interacting with benefits programs or providing case management services preferred.
• Experience working with databases helpful.

Kids in Distress is looking to hire a Part-time Benefits Enrollment Specialist to help our diverse population of clients in Broward County complete benefits enrollment applications and follow-up with referred clients.

About The Benefit Services Program

This service helps families navigate the complicated benefits system by supporting application completion and submission along with referrals to community organizations. This program is available to low-income families with children ages birth to 17 years old in Broward County.

Responsibilities

• Maintain participant files and submit monthly data and reports to Coordinator.
