Haverford College invites applications for a General Food Service Worker in the Dining Center. This full-time, benefits-eligible role requires early morning hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays to serve meals and maintain sanitation.

On-site at the Dining Center, with a strong emphasis on customer service and teamwork. The ideal candidate will hold a Serv Safe certification or be able to obtain one, and be adept at cash handling, basic food prep, and following safety guidelines in a busy

Qualifications

• Current Serv Safe certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions, menus and production sheets.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to customers with quality and portion control.
• Update temperature logs and communicate needs to cooks.
• Maintain front-of-house areas and beverage stations.
• Operate as cashier for dining hall transactions.
• Assist in basic food preparation and sanitation tasks.
• Adhere to Serve Safe standards and safety guidelines.
• Assist in training student workers and perform other duties.
