JOB ANALYSIS
Maintains information and administers all Employee Benefits Programs including but not limited to health & dental insurance, medical claims, flexible spending accounts, short- and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, and worker’s compensation claims. Presents benefits-related information to all active and retired District employees; investigates and resolves any issues which arise between employees and carriers; conducts group and individual benefit orientation meetings. Handles leave management and other related tasks.

Director of Human Resources.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
(The following are illustrative of the responsibilities associated with this position and are not intended to be all-inclusive.).
- Processes benefit enrollment, change and cancellation forms in timely manner.
- Serves as primary contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators.
- Oversees maintenance of employee benefit files, maintains group benefits database and updates employee deduction records.
- Gathers employee data and oversees the processing of monthly billings and preparation of vouchers for payment of administrative fees for all group plans.
- Processes benefit calculations for payroll to ensure proper deductions.
- Processes and administers leaves under the FMLA, ADA, and all other relevant laws and policies.
- Provides customer service support to all employees and retirees, including maintaining relationships with schools, associations, and others.
- Monitors administrative costs of benefits programs and recommends cost containment strategies and assists in the monitoring, verifying, and reconciling of budgeted funds.
- Designs and distributes materials for benefits orientations, open enrollment, and summary plan descriptions. Provides training and support to staff.
- Serves on various committees representing human resources, including the Wellness Committee and Joint Loss Management Committee.
- Ensures that procedures are followed and reporting is done in compliance with federal regulations including but not limited to: ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, State of New Hampshire laws and regulations, and collective bargaining agreements.
- Determines eligible employees under the ACA and processes the annual 1095-C reporting.
- Coordinates and hosts wellness events, flu shot clinics, benefits fair and related events.
- Prepares and submits reports and surveys as required by DOE and DOL.
- Provides clerical assistance as needed to include front desk coverage, data entry, and filing or other duties as assigned.
- Collaborates to modify/improve automated and non-automated processes and procedures as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Director of Human Resources.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in human resource management or related field, and three to five years of related benefits or employee benefits administration experience.
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, including excel, word, and PowerPoint; experience with HRIS and benefits databases.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Effective planning and priority setting. Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of benefit plan designs.
- Knowledge of benefits contract language.
- Experience with union agreements preferred.
- Knowledge of employment law, regulations, filing and compliance requirements, both adopted and pending, affecting employees and employee benefits programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, counseling, and negotiation skills.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Full year position (12 months). Refer to the contract between the Londonderry School Board and the position holder.
Position Type: Full-time
Salary: $23 to $26 Per Hour
