Animas Surgical Hospital is seeking a Benefits Coordinator to manage patient benefits, obtain authorizations, and coordinate payment details before services are rendered.

Job Title: Benefits Coordinator
Job Summary: This position is responsible for the coordination of benefits, authorization of scheduled procedures and the management of accurate payment information. Interacts directly with patients, families assure appropriate payment arrangements are made prior to services being rendered.
Reports To: Business Office Team Lead
Salary Range: $19.50 - $31.97 (posted hourly range excludes overtime and bonuses which are not guaranteed)
Education: High School Diploma or the equivalent
Experience: 2-3 years’ years medical billing experience required. Ability to work independently, confidentially and accurately.
This position requires lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling up to fifty (50)+ pounds while administering care to patients. Stooping, kneeling and/or crouching daily in delivery of patient care. Standing and walking for more than five (5) hours per day; running occasionally in responding to patient care emergencies.
Environmental hazards such as chemicals, solvents, needles, needle containers, sharps, blood, body fluids, various infectious/communicable diseases, infectious medical waste, radiation, and/or radioactive materials and/or radioactive waste, proximity to moving mechanical parts. Protective clothing/equipment may be necessary.
