McKinstry is looking for a Benefits and Leave Coordinator. This position supports HR Benefits' effectiveness by assisting in the processing of leaves of absence, communicating benefits and policy information as needed. Additional responsibilities may include:
Leaves Processing:
Coordinate intake of leave requests and required documentation.
Monitor leave-related deadlines and follow up on outstanding items.
Assist in maintaining leave tracking systems and case files.
Support return-to-work communications and scheduling coordination.
Work closely with Leave and Accommodation Administrator and escalation.
Updating, creating, and maintaining Process Documents and SOPs.
Assist with payroll and benefits continuation communication.
Provide best in class customer service for employee experience.
Support Benefits Team:
Monitor Benefits Email boxes, researching and responding to or direct queries as appropriate.
Generate routine reporting and adherence to auditing standards.
Billing Requests - review, payment, audit.
Provide coverage to team members.
Assist with special projects or other duties as assigned.
Communication
Develop and maintain professional relationships with employees and vendors.
Facilitate the education managers and employees on corporate and HR policies and practices through Q&A, email communication and one on one meetings.
Facilitate communication between HR team and other McKinstry departments.
Act as Human Resources resource on leaves and benefits.
Act as a steward of McKinstry.
Two (2) years' experience in leave administration or benefits required.
Bachelor's degree in Business or Human Resources filed or equivalent work experience required.
PHR/SPHR or equivalent experience preferred.
Proficient in Word and Excel; working knowledge of SharePoint preferred.
Intermediate working knowledge of HRIS systems preferred.
Working knowledge of Federal, State and local employment law preferred.
Must be well organized and able to manage time effectively to meet all deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to create and sustain confident and compassionate relationships with employees requesting and on leave and their managers.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $41.00 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is considered non-exempt and will be paid hourly. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
