Job summary

Jobtailor in Newport Beach, CA seeks an analytical Market Analysis specialist to support strategy meetings with Account Executives and Producers. You will communicate marketing activity status, assist in renewal analysis, benchmarking, and contribution modeling, and advise on client benefit strategy.

The role requires a CA Life Agent license, strong Excel skills, and experience with data analysis, database management, and project management tools.

Qualifications

• High School / GED required.
• 2-4 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education & experience.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience.
• Must hold a valid CA Life Agent license.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Advanced skills in Excel.
• Project Management software and Database software preferred.
• Strong math skills, including calculating discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
• Ability to analyze benefits and claims data, business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
• Ability to identify complex problems and develop and evaluate solutions.
• Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally with internal and external customers.
• Ability to work effectively with a team and coach others.
• No travel required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an analytical subject matter expert in strategy meetings with Account Executives and Producers

• Analyze Market Analysis results and prepare internal summaries and presentation content
• Examine benefits and claims data, review census files, and ensure data accuracy
• Organize and track carrier and vendor bids
• Follow up on outstanding submissions and address carrier questions
• Review insurance bids for compliance with specifications and identify key differences
• Maintain client databases within internal systems
• Support plan change tracking and rate negotiations
• Create and update templates, timelines, exhibits, and presentation-ready reports for internal and client use
• Perform other assigned duties and projects
