Job summary

Main Street Insurance Group is seeking a Benefits Analyst in Forest City, NC. This full-time position supports growth, client retention, and service excellence by handling benefit service tasks for assigned accounts in collaboration with the Account Manager and vendors.

The role requires analyzing client needs, renewals, and new business, maintaining accurate records, and preparing client-facing materials, with a strong focus on timely, professional service and adherence to agency standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in insurance, HR account management roles
• Current Life & Health Insurance license or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
• Understanding of employee benefits, renewal workflows, and carrier processes
• Ability to review plan designs, census data, proposals, invoices, and enrollment forms
• Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office, Applied Epic, Employee Navigator, and carrier systems
• Strong written and verbal communication with a client-focused approach
• Attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
• Ability to manage deadlines and provide timely updates

Responsibilities

• Support agency growth and retention by doing service work for assigned accounts with the Account Manager
• Identify coverage gaps and opportunities for cross-selling and upselling
• Analyze client needs, forms, policies, proposals, and plans to identify loss exposure and recommend coverage
• Prepare proofs, summaries, schedules, census, proposals, benefit guides, notices, invoices, and other documents
• Process mail, emails, faxes, calls, and service requests with timely client updates
• Maintain client files in the Agency Management System per standards
• Perform other duties as assigned
