What you’ll do as a Benefits Analyst
- Support administration of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and leave programs.
- Respond to employee questions related to benefit plans, enrollment, life events, and leave options.
- Assist employees with benefit-related tasks such as enrolling in plans and understanding options.
- Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to resolve benefits-related issues.
- Contribute to annual open enrollment efforts, including communications and data tracking.
- Audit benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations in HR systems per company policies and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with laws such as HIPAA, FMLA, ACA, and COBRA.
- Maintain accurate, confidential employee records in HRIS.
- Track and update employee leaves, assist with documentation, and respond to leave-related questions.
- Administer leave inquiries, verify FMLA tracking, and process related documentation.
- Monitor payroll deductions and reconcile discrepancies.
- Prepare insurance cancellation and seasonal layoff letters.
- Update logs and spreadsheets related to benefits and insurance.
- Process Medical Support Orders and status changes.
- Assist with new hire onboarding, including background checks and documentation.
- Run reports to support benefits tracking, compliance, and engagement.
- Manage referral bonus communications and processing.
- Update employee tracking systems and organization charts.
- Process employee separations and ensure training completion.
- Maintain e-Rail badges and support other HR projects.
What you’ll need
- At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
- Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of HR/Benefits experience or equivalent.
- Knowledge of employee benefits and relevant laws (FMLA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA).
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with procedural adherence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Mail & Drive; HRIS experience a plus.
- Ability to handle sensitive information professionally and confidentially.
- Team player with organizational and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

Pay Range
$55K - $65K per year
