Job summary

Socket.dev seeks an Employee Benefits Account Coordinator to deliver high-quality support to internal and external clients. You will assist Account Managers, process enrollments, review invoices, and maintain client data across vendor systems.

The role requires a Life & Health License within six months, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work onsite or in a hybrid capacity in Grand Rapids. You will contribute to renewals, documentation, and enrollment inquiries.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Life & Health License required (licensing information available by request).
• Ability to work onsite in a full-time or hybrid capacity (management discretion).
• Excellent interpersonal skills. Warm, approachable, savvy, and empathetic.
• Extremely strong oral and written communication skills, including ability to translate technical speak for end users at all levels.
• High energy work ethic with ability to work independently while maintaining customer relationships.
• Ability to work collaboratively with others.
• Ability to work without direct supervision.
• Health/Life licensing is required within the first 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Support Account Managers in day-to-day tasks and assist other Coordinators across the team.
• Process benefit enrollments, terminations, and events across vendor systems with high accuracy.
• Review and audit benefit invoices across carrier systems and databases.
• Identify and explain discrepancies between invoices and internal data to enable corrections.
• Prepare and distribute renewal documents and notices, SPD’s, and related materials.
• Enter and maintain client data in the agency management system (contacts, policy info, enrollments, reports).
• Review and audit information in the agency management system.
• Assist in creating renewal documents, benefit guides, summaries, and open enrollment presentations.
• Assist in quoting and marketing of benefit plans.
• Assist with enrollment and/or claims inquiries.
• Update, report from, and upload documents in the online enrollment system.
• Perform other duties as required by the Company.
