Description and Requirements
General Description: The Benefit Systems Support Administrator supports the delivery and adoption of benefits administration platforms by providing training, implementation support, and ongoing client service to internal teams, brokers, and clients. This role serves as a primary point of contact for clients, gathering requirements, managing expectations, providing guidance throughout the process, and overseeing communications within designated shared mailboxes.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage shared mailboxes, ensuring requests are addressed in accordance with established service standards.
- Coordinate and schedule platform demonstrations, training sessions, and educational support for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support all phases of implementation and renewal projects to ensure timely completion and adherence to client expectations and company standards.
- Coordinate the collection of client information and ensure all required forms and documentation are completed for platform implementations and renewals.
- Provide client training, guidance, and ongoing support to facilitate successful onboarding and platform utilization.
- Support platform installations, renewals, testing activities, and electronic data interchange (EDI) processes.
- Maintain and monitor client data to identify required updates and upcoming renewal activities.
- Participate in meetings with clients, brokers, vendors, and internal teams to support project objectives and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with management, internal teams, and agency partners to identify, address, and resolve client service issues in a timely manner.
- Participate in cross-training to expand platform and product knowledge.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- 3+ years of employee benefits experience; experience in a group benefits environment preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience with benefits administration systems, benefits technology platforms, or related applications.
- Strong administrative, data entry, and organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy.
- Experience auditing data, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring data integrity.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Ability to prioritize workload, manage multiple deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced, team environment.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new systems, technologies, and processes.
Work Environment
Work is conducted in an on-site, remote, or hybrid environment that is conducive to performing the essential functions of the job. The role routinely involves the use of standard office equipment, including computers, keyboards, printers, and video conferencing tools. The employee may attend in-person meetings, including those with clients or team members.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:
- Sit for extended periods while working at a computer or attending virtual meetings.
- Operate office equipment and use repetitive hand motions, such as typing.
- Communicate clearly via phone, video conferencing tools, email, and in person.
