Job Description: The Benefit Specialist is responsible for effectively administering the health care benefit programs offered by JMH. This role will serve as the primary contact for employees and will educate, inform and counsel a diverse group of employees in regards to their health care benefits. Interacts on a daily basis with plan administrators, insurance carriers, the payroll team and employees.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree - Human Resources or related field - Required
• Equivalent work experience - Required

Experience

• 2 - 3 years of experience in Benefit Administration including working with self-insured plans and unions
• Preferred 1 year of experience working in Human Resources

License/Certifications

• SHRM-SCP Senior Certified Professional - SHRM Society for Human Resource Management
• PHR Professional in Human Resources - HRCI HR Certification Institute (Preferred)

Pay Range

• $46.23 - $62.43 Hourly Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure. Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area. Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word 'exempt' on it.
