Job summary

Clarke County Department of Social Services seeks a motivated individual to supervise the benefit program specialist team and ensure eligibility determinations, benefit calculations, and accurate case documentation.

The Benefits Supervisor will train staff, monitor service delivery, and communicate policy changes while building strong relationships with internal and external partners to promote effective public assistance programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in the human services field and lead/supervisory experience.
• Experience supervising public assistance programs is preferred.
• Ability to interpret and apply policies, regulations and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the benefit program specialist team.
• Monitor case reviews for eligibility determinations and benefit calculations.
• Ensure documentation meets federal and state requirements.
• Communicate policy and regulatory changes clearly to staff.
• Engage with community and external partners to promote programs.
• Recruitment, retention and staff development activities.
