Job summary

The Family Support Division of the State of Missouri seeks a Benefit Program Technician for the Caldwell County/Hamilton Resource Center at 400 W Berry, Hamilton, MO. This role supports Missouri citizens in obtaining food, medical, financial and nutritional assistance to live safe, healthy, and productive lives.

You will determine initial and continuing eligibility, interview clients in person and by telephone, and prepare summaries and other related tasks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 4+ years of customer service experience, or a Bachelor's Degree.

Job description

The Family Support Division is seeking applications for a Benefit Program Technician. This position will be in the Caldwell County/Hamilton Resource Center based at 400 W Berry, Hamilton, MO.

As our Benefit Program Technician you will help Missouri citizens to receive food, medical, financial and nutritional assistance so they can live safe, healthy and productive lives.

Every day you will determine initial and continuing eligibility of Missouri citizens for these services, interview clients in person and by telephone, prepare summaries and much more.

In order to succeed in this role, you must have a High School diploma or equivalent and at least four years of customer service experience OR have a Bachelor’s Degree.

To thrive in this role, you must be personable, compassionate and have a non-judgmental attitude.

Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.

Individual(s) selected for this position may receive a higher rate based on a pay differential (e.g. shift, or time-of-service pay).
