The State of Missouri is seeking a Benefit Program Technician to support the Boone County/Columbia Resource Center in Columbia, MO. You will determine eligibility for food, medical, financial and nutritional assistance, interviewing clients in person and by phone, and preparing summaries to help families live healthier, more productive lives.
Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent or a Bachelor's degree with at least four years of customer service experience.
The Family Support Division is seeking applications for a Benefit Program Technician. This position will be in the Boone County/Columbia Resource Center based at 601 Business Loop 70 W STE 272, Columbia, MO.
As our Benefit Program Technician you will help Missouri citizens to receive food, medical, financial and nutritional assistance so they can live safe, healthy and productive lives.
Every day you will determine initial and continuing eligibility of Missouri citizens for these services, interview clients in person and by telephone, prepare summaries and much more.
In order to succeed in this role, you must have a High School diploma or equivalent and at least four years of customer service experience OR have a Bachelor’s Degree.
To thrive in this role, you must be personable, compassionate and have a non-judgmental attitude.
Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.
Individual(s) selected for this position may receive a higher rate based on a pay differential (e.g. shift, or time-of-service pay).
