As a Benefit Guidance and Outreach Navigator, you will play a key role in growing G.E.H.A membership by educating prospective members about G.E.H.A health plans and guiding them through plan selection. This role also involves outreach to consumers, members, and prospects about benefits, ensuring they understand and can navigate their policies.

Skills, Duties, and Responsibilities
  1. Drive membership growth by providing consultation and navigation support regarding G.E.H.A medical and dental plans to newly hired or eligible postal and federal employees and retirees.
  2. Support consumers through virtual and direct channels, including video conferencing, phone, chat, email, and in-person events.
  3. Conduct virtual presentations, new employee orientations, and conferences for federal employees on G.E.H.A plans, including topics like new hire and retiree benefits related to Medicare.
  4. Handle inbound calls from ABOs regarding materials and events.
  5. Engage with qualified leads and prospective members via outbound calls for open season support.
  6. Educate members and prospects about benefits and assist them in understanding and navigating their policies.
  7. Participate in projects, events, and outreach activities such as community events and workshops.
  8. Document consultation details in systems in compliance with training, quality, and conflict of interest standards.
  9. Uphold G.E.H.A Core Values and support membership growth and retention duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Associate's degree in healthcare, business, nonprofit, or related fields; relevant work experience may substitute.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in customer service, education, public speaking, outreach, healthcare, or social work.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work remotely and independently, with collaborative skills.
  • Dependability, adaptability, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong diligence and time management skills.
Preferences
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
  • Flexibility to work weekends or evenings during open enrollment (Nov 1 – Dec 15).
Work-from-Home Requirements
  • Reliable high-speed internet (fiber, DSL, cable), minimum 30x5 Mbps download/upload, latency under 80 ms.
  • No hotspots, satellite, or wireless internet allowed.
  • A dedicated, interruption-free workspace to protect member PHI/HIPAA information.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary range: $50,298 - $70,902 USD.
