Job summary

Astera Health is seeking a Part-Time ED Physician to join our Emergency Department in Minnesota. The role includes 4-6 24-hour shifts per month, with on-site duties when scheduled and rapid response capabilities within the facility.

Essential duties cover patient assessment and treatment, supervision of staff, and emergency response, including Code Blue events. Strong communication and collaboration skills are required for a high-stakes clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Requires board certification in Family or Emergency Medicine and Minnesota medical license.
• Must have DEA certification and CALS; NRP or Astera Health ONE class recommended.
• Preferred active BLS/ACLS/ATLS/PALS certifications and emergency medicine experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide and manage direct patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Respond to Code Blue events within the facility.
• Provide clinical supervision for nurses and ancillary staff.
• Be on-site during scheduled shifts and respond promptly when summoned.
