US Tech Solutions in Thousand Oaks, CA is seeking an early-career scientist for a 12-month contract, with a standard daytime schedule.

The role emphasizes mammalian cell culture, in vitro pharmacology, and plate-based assays, including dose–response data analysis, with most work performed at the bench.

Applicants from academic or industry research backgrounds with proven hands-on skills and independence are encouraged; in vivo experience is beneficial but not required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related life sciences disciplines; experience in a Biopharmaceutical working environment.
• Hands-on proficiency in cell culture and analytical techniques is essential.
• Ability to design, execute and interpret experiments with proper controls.

Responsibilities

• Follows established experimental design and protocols to generate reproducible and reliable results with limited supervision.
• Plans, conducts, analyzes and records experiments, and provides interpretation of data.
• Review literature to identify and effectively transfer experimental methods to the lab and make modifications as necessary.
• Develops and implements new protocols to address biological questions.
• Engages coworkers in scientific discussions and communicates data/interpretation to program teams.
• Contributes to internal/external reports, papers, presentations, regulatory documents, invention disclosures and/or patents.
