Job summary

Ingersoll Rand in Mocksville, NC is seeking a Bench Mechanic for 1st shift. You will perform mechanical assembly on sub-assemblies and packages, read engineering drawings and BOMs, and sign off quality documentation before moving to the next step.

The role requires attention to detail, calibration of tools, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a safe, orderly manufacturing environment onsite at 338 Valley Rd. Strong problem-solving and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and respond to issues.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and quality docs.
• Capability to use tooling, fixturing and equipment to meet engineering specs.

Responsibilities

• Performs all mechanical assembly operations for sub- and package assemblies.
• Reads and interprets engineering drawings, specs, BOMs and quality docs.
• Ensures tools are calibrated and reports discrepancies to supervisor.
• Works with limited supervision and maintains a safe, clean work area.
• Identifies safety concerns and assists in departmental projects and continuous improvement.
• Capable of disassembly and rebuild of air ends or rotating assemblies.
