Job description

A leader in the aerospace manufacturing industry is currently looking for a Bench Mechanic to join their team! If you have previous machine shop and deburring experience and want to work with a company that is innovative and growing, this is the time to apply!

Position:

Deburrer

Shift:

1:30 pm to 10:00 pm, plus daily overtime, Monday-Friday

Pay:

$18.00-$20.00 per hour

Position Overview

The Deburrer (machine shop) will work with plans, layouts, and blueprints to fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal parts and/or equipment.

• Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, or product specifications.
• Performs all deburring operations, including stripping remaining maskant and silicic from finished components.
• Mill parts and remove burrs and sharp edges using various hand tools such as files and edge breakers.
• Smooths edges and removes buildup with air or electric equipment using abrasive disks and sleeves.
• Operates deburring equipment including countersinks, grinding wheels, deburring rolls, bench grinders, and drill presses.
• Uses ultrasonic gauges, micrometers, calipers, and scales to work to close tolerances (+/- .00).

Requirements:

• Minimum 1-3 years of related work experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
• Ability to perform basic math operations in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Pass pre-employment background and drug tests.
